Hi,
I got a problem where I got no clue what category it really fits. I can't turn off my heated bed via Gcode.
these are my last lines in a gcode file:
M104 S0 ;tip off works
G140 S0 ;no effekt
M84 ;Motors off
M190 S0 ;no effekt

now its starting to get weird I can turn the heated bed on with M140 S60
I can turn it off by clicking the off button in pronterface.

Yes the lines written abve are in my gcode I am pronting.
I'm using Sprinter

It's common to use M0 at the end of the slicer end job gcode. In most firmwares this turns off all heaters and motors.

Hi everyone,
just wondering if I am the only one sending commands line to printrun with no results..
I am trying to disable hothead and hotbed as I am doing my first tests with my newly assembled reprap; but everytime printrun is returning me the error MINTEMP.
I did try to use the M104 S0 and the M140 S0 to do so, but the prompt command is only displaying the message 'SENDING:M104 S0' with no results.

Anyone knows why?
Thanks

@SirPaz

Look at your temperature on power on, use M105

If this is not reading a sane value (ie close to room temperature) The instant you attempt to set a temperature it will error.

Also note that if the room temperature is actually really low < 5 degrees, the machine will also error.

Most thermistor in Marlin are NTC, ie they follow this example graph

To trigger a MIN TEMP error the thermistor resistance must be near Zero

Ie you most likely have shorted thermistor wires somewhere

Unplug the thermistor cable from the controller, use a multi meter to check resistance of the thermistor wires. Most are around 100k at 25 degrees C
