Slic3r Adjustment? or Firmware?
November 20, 2012 01:55PM
Hi there,

I recently updated my printer with repitier firmware (thanks to the help of repitier) and have started using Slic3r.
I have the extruder calibrated. As I begin the print, the first layer or two looks good, but then the filament starts spewing out faster and 'curly' for the remainder. Almost like it has too much pressure built up in the chamber. I am using PLA and it happens at 190 and 200c.

I attached a pic to show what I am talking about.

Any ideas on what I could tweak to stop this? Thanks!

Try printing a bit cooler. I print PLA at around 175-180.

Unfortunately it does it at 185 as well. The weird thing is that I didn't have this issue when using the old firmware and RepSnapper. That's why I think it's got to be a setting in the firmware or slic3r. That's all that has changed.....
