Open Innovation Projects

Hello,

as some of you might remember from my previous posts, I'm working in the area of open source innovation of physical products for my doctorate. In the beginning of my research I experienced how difficult it is to find such projects and how weak connected most projects are up to now.

Therefore I created the webpage [open-innovation-projects.org]. Our target is to collect a list of open innovation projects of physical products, to show information about the projects and simplify access to them. In the longterm we intent to build a community for exchange between open source innovation projects.

As I've already been in contact with this project, I hope you don't mind that I added it to our list. So far we cannot offer more then other directories, but I guess a link to a project page won't do any harm. You can find RepRaps project entry at [open-innovation-projects.org]

What do you think about this idea? I hope it makes sense to you ;-)

Kind regards
Kerba

Hello Kerba,

I am also writing a thesis about "Open Source Innovation in Physical Goods and Hardware". I really like the website you have built up.

Hi Kassap,

great to hear!

May I ask at which university your working on this topic and whether you have any special focus?
I'm still in the process of discovering interesting areas and developing suitable research questions - there are so many interesting topics in the field of open source innovation.

Cheers
Kerba

P.S. Welcome on my site smiling smiley

Hello again Kerba,

I am wiriting my master thesis in Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and the are I am focusing on is "Open Source Innovation in Physical Products and Hardware" I believe Reprap is a perfect example of this; but it is really hard to find projects like Reprap.
