As i haven't printed anything yet... (still waiting for my machine to arrive...) i'm trying to get a feel for things...
With the details of your parameter, could you also add the printing time? + or - 10 min will be fine! smiling smiley

I still can't get over how impressive those green Rostock parts are.
I doubt an actual Rostock could achieve that.

Obviously, no offense to anyone who's submitted, but those green ones set the bar high.

Some of the best looking prints I have ever seen were from a kossel. Take a look at digifab's flickr page, the red head on page 2 was printed on a kossel.

And this has got to be one of the best looking prints I have ever seen, also from a kossel.

On this Ultimaker Print Farm video [www.youtube.com] they show a Black Dynamite with an impressive reflection smoothness. Notice the print speeds on the running machines are reasonable and not blistering quick. I think the farm prints best quality at whatever speed is needed, so it looked to be around 100mm/s or so.

Those Kossels are nice machines. I haven't read up on them much, but need to.

Some of the best prints and best layer registration I have ever had have been from a Rostock, it's a great and fast printer.
It would be interesting to see speed v quality on many of these prints.

Are there any all inclusive Rostock or Kossel build guides in existence yet? What about guides for using spectra fishing line?

Does anyone have the STL for that red monster head in the pictures that crispy posted? I am curious to see if I can print one as nice.

I'm getting a SeeMeCNC Rostock Max (ordering in a day or two I'm excited), they have a guide for their kit online I believe.

Dunno about complete build guides for other builds, haven't looked.

xclusive,

I think you will be really pleased with the RostockMax - I saw it at Makerfaire and it was REALLY nice. And the SeeMeCNC guys are really helpful.

I've spoken with John a few times already. He is great and I look forward to doing business with him. I've been waiting a month on some money and it's finally coming today or Wednesday. *evil grin*
I'm also going to build a Mendel90 in a couple months. Which with my existing Prusa, should be a proper selection of printing equipment to use for some small scale manufacturing.

Once I get the Rostock Max together I will definitely put up a review on my site and here as well. I am looking forward to seeing what good Z alignment looks like.
