Hello, Please assist me with my PSU

Hello,

I just bought a IN WIN IP-S300FF1-0 (Model number) [www.newegg.com]

Will this work for my Reprap Prusa Mendel I2 W/ Ramps 1.4 and heated bed?

You've already bought it, so give it a try. See also [reprap.org]

I would just like to get some confirmation as this is my first build and am kind of skeptical about altering it and not being able to return it.
Any help would be appreciated.
thumbs up

The spec for the power supply seems to fit the bill so go ahead!

There's no need to "alter" ATX PSUs to make them working for a printer. Just get an electronics designed for ATX PSUs or put a bridge between the green wire and a black wire to have it "always on".

The wiki page shows adding plugs, rewiring things and similar stuff. Gross exaggeration, IMHO.

Measure the no-load voltage on the rails. If it isn't 5v and 12v then I'd recommend putting a power resistor across the 5v rail. (~6 ohm 10 watt, it will get very hot!)
