Z axis wont move up during print?

is there anyone who might be able to help me?

my z axis doesn't move manually and does not move up in print. the only time it moves is if i press home. the model is Mini Fabrikator v2 , software im using is repetiter and slic3r. i have no idea what you all refer to as a ramp as i am a super noob at 3d printing and don't really understand most of the terms used on this forum lol

You are probably having a z-axis backlash problem. It seems to be a weakness with the fabrikator v2. Check this link maybe it can help you out: [www.rcgroups.com]

Any solutions for this problem? Having the exact same issue... Z not moving during printing but goes up and down freely on its own when manually moving it in Repetier and when homing right before starting to print.

My printer did this, until I changed the Z acceleration setting. Increasing the acceleration so that it was closer to the X and Y values seemed to do the trick.
