Does anyone know why "thrown Together" doesn't always work in Openscad?

Sometimes it works great, and if I save the file between changes, I can see each move I make.
But other times, like today, clicking on Thrown Together causes the render to completly disappear.

I seems to be erratic and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it does or doesn't work...

i have one computer that supports hardware opengl, everything always works. the other machines use direct x, and have rendering issues until compile. i don't know if this helps you or not.

graphics used are AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6520G and support is for OpenGL 64Bit, using windows 7 64bit.

perhaps you can update your openscad?

also if you move the mouse around over object it will reappear. it may take up to 15-30 seconds. on one of my other machines it disappears.

My Openscad is current.

Moving the mouse over it doesn't make it reappear.

I just checked it again and it will open a file and show it "thrown together", but when I switch to SGAL Surfaces, it disappears. If I then go to design and switch from automatic R &C to Manual R & C (or visa versa depending on what it happens to be in), it will suddenly let me switch back and forth between render modes. If I then save it, it goes back to disappearing again.
