Sudden Problem with Ramps 1.4 and Marlin
April 12, 2013 05:50PM
Hi,

I have a sudden problem with my RepRap (Ramps 1.4, Marlin, Cura 13.03 & Cura 12.12A which worked before).

Until now it walked without any problems since 1/2 year. But from one to an other day it quit it`s job - at the evening it worked fine, on the next day every time an error occures. I don`t have any more ideas what`s the problem.

I can connect with Serial Console and Cura and I also can manually control my RepRap via Cura Jog - no problems, I also can change temperature - I also can send commands via serial console witout problems. But after I start printing an error occurs. Sometimes Cura shows "Error:Line Number is not Last Line Number+1, Last Line: 4". I tried connecting to an other computer - same problem - I updated to the last Merlin version - same problem - I changed baudrate - same problem. I`m at the end of my skills - perhaps there is anyone out who can help me.

I`m confused about the one to an other day problem - no changes - nothing.

Here the last error log:

If possible restore your computer to how it was a week ago. perhaps some module was updated that is incompatible with usb port or cura?

Hi,

@stephenrc-> Thanks you`re right - I changed the cable and all problems are gone. Crazy because I only switched one evening off and next day the error occurs without touching the cable.
