I got a weird problem today that I couldnt explain. I have Sanguinololu board 1.3a qith Atmega 1284. X axis dont move but only clicks (moves very little) when I try to control with pronterface. I have tested the motor and connections by plugging th connector to other axis. I have also tested the stepper driver by replacing with a working one. I have also tried to increase and reduce the stepper voltage but it only gives a louder cluck, click sound and moves very little. what can be the reason please help

Marlin Firmware

Thanks

There can be a number of things.

Questions for you:
1. What is the amp rating on your stepper motors?
2. Do you have cooling elements on your stepper drivers?
3. Are you sure you have connected the wires in the good order? (the four leads from the stepper motor)

Thanks,

1-Motors are SY42STH47-1684A 1.68 AMPS
2-Yes there is small chillers on the steppers.
3- Wires are ok since it was working properly like one hour and after that it started to create problems.

What if you swap the motor connections from the X and Y axis?

Also check endstop switches.

When I swap X and Y , this time Y doesnt move but X moves. I have also checked endstops.

Thanks

Hmm, this sounds like a problem with your stepper, or your cable?

Did you try switching stepper drivers?
