I'm a bit upset by a letter I received today, concerning Unimatic:

"I have been instructed by the directors of the above Company to assist them in putting the company into creditors' Voluntary Liquidation

The creditors' meeting will be held at the above address on 26 Feb. 2009 at 12 noon.

"... and so on.

Does anyone know what's going on?
I payed around € 1200 for a RepRap. Does it mean I'm never seeing a RepRap, nor my money?

Can someone help please? Are there any other RepRap buyers involved?

Thanks,
Batist.

Wow! confused smiley

Oh man, Batist! It sounds like you just got burned! Here is a description of CVL.

I think that it will depend on whether they ship your order before the 26th.

I expect that you're not the only one getting burned by this. This is TERRIBLE!

I just tried to get Ian on the phone with no reply. Mind, it's Friday evening there and it's a bit much to expect people to be at home. I haven't got a home number for Adrian, so I'm out of touch till they answer the email I sent out or look at the forum here.

I'm sure everybody will be in the loop in a few hours. The first thing is to see if we can figure out how many buyers are going to be affected and how badly.

As you all know we are supplying Unimatic these kits and are well aware of the situation regarding there going into liquidation. This is not due there reckless actions but is in-fact due to the domino effect of companies taking others out around them. Unimatic had been trading for over 42 Years! And indeed Martin will be carrying on with the RapMan product. I would like to assure all people who have paid a deposit or full payment that we will ensure they receive kits as per their orders. Unimatic have been very upfront with us on this and I have no reason to doubt there word.
