I am using Repetier and Slic3r 9.9 and am wondering if there is a wat=y to change the first layer width. All of the parts I have made to date have a first layer width of only .40mm. Can this be made a little wider?n If so, how!!

Yes, there is a setting in slic3r where you can set the extrusion width for the first layer.

You can set both the height of the first layer and the amount of filament for the first layer too (it defaults to 200%).
