Hey folks, I am awaiting the arrival of my makerfarm i3, but in the meantime wanted to post a positive experience with ultimachine. I ordered some abs and they through in some pla samples. Pretty sweet to get some sample filament as a bonus. Shipping was fast and packaging was good. Thanks ultimachine.

they are already very popular here, i have had a lot of dealings with them all very good.

i would love to use them more, but Canadian customs likes to add there tax onto my orders from them.

i like ordering from them when I can, every order comes with a sticker which I put on the box for carrying my 3d printer places smiling smiley

Yes Ultimachine has good filament. I use their 3mm ABS all the time.

Dont want to sound rude, but this review really doesn't say anything really. You can only judge after you have been printing with it winking smiley

i get what you are saying, but i would doubt anyone here has had much if any trouble with there stuff. i went through about 4 rolls of it my self.

I picked up two spools of ABS and a spool of polycarbonate from them about a week ago. I have no comment on the product, as I have not used any of it yet, but it certainly looks good and all reports are good.

They have UPS only shipping so I was hit with an additional $73.87 in brokerage when the package got to my door in Canada. That precludes me from using them again but if they would provide a USPS option, I'd probably be back ordering lots more of their stuff, provided it works as well for me as others are reporting.

Ya gotta love that UPS tax. small orders are not bad for customs.

I wish they had more warning for that brokerage fee.

Hey folks. Thought I would update this post.

I've been printing with a makerfarm i3 for about a week and a half now, and the ultimachine abs has been great. I haven't had any issues with it and I have run a fair number of prints.

I'm printing it at 225c on a 110c bed. I am having no issues with the abs(not) sticking to the bed.

I have done a few fairly tall prints and am not having issues on that front either.

As far as the MakerFarm i3 goes, it is awesome. It works really well. I don't think a first-timer could go wrong with the i3 kit. In fact, the only way to go wrong would be to choose not to get one if you are in this segment of the market.

It took me about 12 hours of build time to get to printing. I am not claiming to be an expert builder (obviously as I got a kit), but I do not think that the 3 hours build time listed is realistic unless you have built a makerfarm i3 before or some other sort of reprap.

Just for reference,I have a toolchest full of tools, am not intimidated by a linux shell, have and use a raspberrypi, beaglebone, arduino, my home server is standalone hyper-v..blah...blah...blah - and there were still a couple of times when I was yelling "damnit" and screwing stuff up. However, the excellent (relative term of course in this arena) documentation and simple nature of the kit saved me from a lot of the frustration that must be part of building other reprap machines.

Colin, as has been mentioned by others, provides great support, and is quick to respond to questions. If you are on the fence regarding a makerfarm i3, I suggest getting off of it if you want to start printing quickly and with really good results.

Sorry for the crappy photos - both the camera and the photographer are of low quality.
