Can't seem to solve this problem (over extrusion?)

Hi Guys,

My first posting here smiling smiley
I'm from Malaysia, and just put together my first MendelMax 1.5 kit.
Looking for some help, hope this is the right channel.

I have done as much of the calibration tips I could get from various online sources, but not so sure of how to solve this particular issue.
I am using the Movember moustache ring as a test print for now, but its the same with most items I print.

The current prints I have seem to start out fine for maybe the first 5mm of layers then they seem to go all wobbly. Looks like too much material, but I've done the extruder calibration and it seems accurate when I extrude X mm and measuree.

I have attached a picture for viewing.

In the attached pic, the Blue rings are all printed using the MendelMax.
From left to right are samples of my progress with the calibration, far right being the first uncalibrated ring, ending with the right on with calibration but still the same problem of the moustached blobbing up at the middle towards the end.

The Black and White rings below the blue ones are printed as a comparison using my Up! 3d printer.

EDIT: I am using Slic3r at 2mm and 3mm layers with Extrusion Multiplier at 0.92 (which really has not much diff from 0.94)

Hope someone has experienced this before and can help me home in to the proper calibrations I need to clear this obstacle.

All feedback is welcome!
Thanks!
-Ed

Looks like you first need to calibrate Marlin with the correct number of steps per mm in your extruder (eSteps).

You'll need to first work out how many steps that is for your extruder... have a read of this article.
