Floor/Table/Bed Level

So I am preparing to start calibration on my reprappro Mendel. I have had a lot of fun building it.

I want to build an acrylic case around it, and I also need a table/workstation to set the 3D printer on.

My question is: How important is it that the work table that the printer is on be level? I imagine that you want gravity to be normal to a level heat bed. The hardwood floors in my place aren't very level, and I would like to make a cart/workstation that is on casters so that I could wheel the 3D printer in and out of 2 rooms. I have cats, so I need to be able to move around the printer, as well as protect it with a case. The crappy table I have been building on isnt level at all.

I am thinking about making a case and table out of 80/20, but I could also go to my local maker space and cut my own acrylic panels and make my own box too, which would be more fun probably.

Any suggestions?

so long has you have a square frame thats all that matters, repraps will even print upside down.

Sweet thanks, I will have to look for some videos of upside down repraps spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I will try to print with the frame square and the bed level and not worry about my crappy table.

yes i was worried about what my i3 would sit ie (level ground) but someone on irc it does not matter as long as the bed on the printer is level between the nozzle.

Check my rubbish blog for my prusa i3

If what you stand is on is a flat plane it doesn't matter if it is inclined relative to horizontal but it does matter that it is flat because all the points the machine rests on need to be co-planer or they will skew the Y axis.
