Any way to mirror a print?
July 28, 2013 02:05PM
I am trying to mirror a print. I am using slic3r or KSSlicer, and either repetier or pronterface.

I don't see any way to mirror in any of those.

My design is in openscad, so if there is even a way to do it there it would be great too.

Thanks!

If I remember correctly ReplicatorG was able to do that. I think you might be able to mirror and save as a new STL as well.

Thanks. I actually found there is a mirror function in openscad, so that is working perfectly for me.

There's probably a mirror function in meshlab too if you don't have openscad source.

Netfabb will do it as well

Thanks everyone.

Since my design was in openscad, the mirror function in openscad got me exactly what I needed.

I will keep this in mind if ever dealing with an stl that I did not design myself.

Thanks!

flip your y or x motor around or set firmware to invert in the direction needed.

If you'd have the model avialable ( step / STL OBJ) I could flip it for you

Oh, and the current version of KISSlicer also has a mirroring capability, just right click the object in the top right column and it's in the.drop down that appears.

CURA will also mirror objects.
