Makerbot Replicator 2 Extreme Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am new to this forum and I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section.

The nozzle on my replicator 2 was perpetually clogged I've tried everything to fix it. So it came to the point where I tried to take the nozzle off myself and it broke off. The threaded end it still stuck in the machine and the nozzle tip end is broken off. I called the Makerbot people and they told be I'd have to replace the whole heating element and it would cost $120. Is there a way to fix the broken one or do I have to buy a new one, if so can I find it cheaper elsewhere.

Thanks for the help,
--Luke

Jeez, those machines still have jamming problems? Years ago my Thing-O-Matic's incessant jamming was what led me here. The Kuhling's Greg's Wade's extruder+Ubis hot end combination is about as close to perfection as I've ever seen; every single machine of mine that has uses this combination has had 100% reliable extrusion. It just. Never. Jams.
