Any special tricks to get the beeper working? I tried once and had no sound. I am not sure if my Melzi has a speaker anyway.
I would love to be alerted on some events (like starting a bridge, or end of print, or if hot end temp falls below a certain range/ cold extrusion error.

I hacked up a little windows program I found on C# Corner called MusicMaker to generate Gcode files, it uses a text notation for music files, and I also added a rudimentary music editor, and some code to read MIDI files, but it's all a bit unfinished. Playback on the PC sounds awful, I think the Gcode is correct though.

If you are using Marlin you need to find the Melzi entry in the pins.h file and add
that is how I got it working when I was using Marlin on my Megatronics V2 board. I use Repetier-Firmware now though

If you are using Marlin you need to find the Melzi entry in the pins.h file and add
#define LARGE_FLASH true
that is how I got it working when I was using Marlin on my Megatronics V2 board. I use Repetier-Firmware now though
