how do i know my ramps have bootloader

how can I find out is my aragiuno have bootloader installed in it or not ? I bought a prusa online and the seller didnt answer my question. I trying to figure out the which pin for what and does it have bootloader inside it and which one is it ( marline , sprinter ....)

bootloader is installed by default if you have a mega 2560 on an arduino board call the arduino mega 2560. download the arduino ide at www.arduino.cc

Probably you misunderstood the bootloader definition. You probably want to know the firmware type, version.
Connect the Arduino/RAMPS with your computer, start your Host software e.g. Repetier-Host, configure the Printer in Printer Settings and click Connect. You will see the info in the log windows.

I got these errors when I use connect on the repetier-host , what does it mean ? my prusa cant print anything I have the led light on when connect the usb onto my computer and no no led light when I unplug it and only plug the power supply from the wall plug.

system.IO.Ports.SerialErrorReceivedEventArgs ? are you on a windows 8 system. do you have the latest .net framework installed?

google around a bit, this seems to be a known issue with .net framework versions not being current.

if arduino ide is installed and you launch serial monitor there should be a response if marlin firmware is loaded.

i have framework 4.5 install and when i connect to printer on serial monitor there is nothing

is the board powered up first? (external powered, and usb powered.)
