IT was not lame. What you fail to realize is that a child of this project we are all a member of made it onto national tv. Despite its mishap it still claimed the world record and got national recognition. How many other open source projects do you see making it onto national broadcast tv? It lost the gear that drives the frostruder briefly. bre quickly fixed it while it was running.

Had they succeeded the bakers of the world would be going I want one! Though I do image some of them will still investigate it, it would be interesting if MakerBot sees a spike in orders or web site traffic.
MakerBot has a forum on their web site and nothing was posted on this there, but they did have a twitter link that then pointed to another video site that might be visible outside the states. Cupcake starts at the 2:30 mark.
