I think we've got it, some changes behind the scenes would be good to help prevent spam in the first place though.

I wonder what spammers like that hope to accomplish. Surely no one would ever patronize anyone that does that.

I'm happy to help remove spam as well. I have reported a lot in the past, it just seems like if I spot it i could remove it or place it in the proper folder...

What might help is to display a captcha if you create too many topics in a short time span. I'm not sure how easy that would be to implement though.
