Silicone Heaters

Hello all,

I am working on a new printer and want to do a 12x12" bed and it seems the best/only option is a silicone heater. I found this one from QU-BD that is 24v - [store.qu-bd.com]

With these heaters, can they just be glued to the bottom of a piece of aluminum with RTV silicone and then stick the glass or whatever on top of the aluminum?

There are others available but that one looks good. I use this one from mcmaster that runs off of AC using an SSR hooked up to my electronics. There is a link to the silicone adhesive there as well. I just mounted mine beneath a sheet of aluminum.
