Slic3r Being very strange!
January 08, 2014 01:36PM
Hey,

Today I wanted to pint out the Tajmahal.

The STL file looks fine and is solid, however, when i try and Slice it in replicator Host, all hell breaks loose!

The G-Code does not show what the STL file looks like.

I have attached an image of what the G-Code looks like and the STL file's URL: [www.thingiverse.com]

Thanks for any help on this issue

Kick away Slic3r 0.9.9, the integrated slic3r in Repetier is terrible, see my topic (and how to solve this in the 3rd message) here:

Okay, SO i have just updated to 1.0.0 and still, this keeps on happening. Maybe a little bit more of the model has been converted, but nowhere near a complete model!

Okay, we're getting somewhere! smiling smiley

Did you try running the file through Netfab?

Thats what I do when files look weird, it's this link:

Another crap file on Thingiverse Nearly 10,000 errors in the file. Not going to slice properly as-is.

Oh, and Netfabb choked on it.

Hahaha, oh my god, okay, so it's unworkable... Too bad sad smiley

I've only had it once that netfabb could not fix a file! So it's a very rare occurrence!
