Which hot end should I use? Magma or J-head? Any details in resolution, quality print, etc. will be very useful!

Why not just start with the kraken winking smiley
Just kidding ofcourse.

I would suggest the J-head, there is a lot of information available about the J-head, there are some bad copies available on Ebay, so beware what you buy. I think the Magma is for the more advanced users, full-metal hotends are suitable for all kinds of printing, but are expensive, and as a first hotend, the chances that you destroy one are big, so I would suggest a J-head as they are cheap, flexible, and are still great i.m.o.

One thing that I must note is that the J-head can handle up to around 250ยบ celsius, I am printing PLA with it, so that should be no problem.

Besides the J-head there is the Budah, which I really enjoy. I've printed many ABS parts with it and never had a problem with the hotend, it's given me the best prints, it has a pretty bulky heater block, but it's very ok.

Pretty much all hotends need a cooling fan blowing on the heat isolator when you are printing PLA, because it becomes soft very easy at higher temperatures. For ABS this is not needed.

When printing ABS with a Budah style hotend, the big heater block comes in handy, I have wrapped it with ceramic insulation to prevent radiation heat to keep the printed parts soft, this has enhanced the prints a lot, since you cannot put a fan blowing on your ABS print as it will detach from the printing bed because it shrinks a lot when cooling down. PLA has less shrinkage so it doesn't have this problem.

Isolating the heater block also made it bridge much better with ABS.

When bridging with PLA a fan comes in handy and will not cause the print to pop off of the print bed because the shrink factor when cooling down is much lower.
