Could anyone provide the plastic parts for assembly

I live between Washington DC and Baltimore in Maryland on the United states eastern Seaboard. I'd gladly pay for shipping for the parts or if you're in the area I could come get them.

This is the major thing we're working right now. There are quite a few people working on RepStraps, as well as 3-4 people working with official darwin kits. Basically, its a race to see who can print out real, working parts first!

The only way to get them right now is to have them commercially manufactured (expensive!!!) or to find someone with university access to a Stratasys that can do it for cost of materials (less expensive) or to put together your own 3D positioning machine and use our electronics + software (probably the best route for now)

As soon as we are actually printing parts we will start cranking them out as fast as possible to get them into the hands of researchers all over the world. That is when the real fun begins =)

I was wondering about this. I have begun to order parts--mostly the electronics--and started to put them together. I have access to CNC machines at the college I go to and was unsure if I would be able to create the parts I need on a those machines. Is commercial manufacturing using fdm or some such the only way to do it? Obviously no one is able to print the parts yet using a RepRap but can a CNC machine mill them?

I haven't read the entire site yet--nearly!--so I might have missed where it said this.

I think someone around here was able to mill an extruder, but I haven't heard about anyone milling the other parts. The deal is that as the parts are currently designed, they have some internal spaces larger than the holes used to access them. It should be possible to modify the brackets, etc to be millable (Joost made many of them with a drill press and some sort of saw, if memory serves) but I don't know that anyone's done that yet.

kyle is correct, the extruder can be milled... luis freeman has more info. as for the cartesian bot parts, it should be possible to modify the design. if you're interested in doing it, i'm sure alot of people would be very grateful for your work!
