Hi
I'm planning to build a 3d printer.I want it to have dual independent extrusion system. Can you write a controller and firmware?

As in they extrude the same object at the same time? You can probably just wire them in series to get that. But then you might run into the problem of each extruder needing different steps/mm settings.

But I cannt find any controllers with 6 stepper motor driver slots

Well that guys is using an Azteeg X3. That's pretty cool.

One thing to consider is that using duplication mode will effectively cut your build area in half.

I want to do the same thing, so I rolled my own electronics.

Thanks for the reply. I ´m intrested in the RAMPS-FD. Is there a marlin compactable firmware that supports 2 independently driven extruders.

Marlin currently supports dual-x. I don't know if any ARM firmwares do yet.

I'll second the Panucatt Azteeg X3, I'm using one and it can support 4 extruders actually with the expansion sheild and and creativity...

Paucatt boards are beautifully made... I have the X3 and Viki and the Helios bed on my Ord Bot... love them all...

RepRapDiscount's RUMBA board might be an option or RepRapWorld's Megatronics 3 (which also supports thermocouples in addition to thermistors). I tend to favor the Megatronics because it's cheaper and shipping distance is shorter, but both should be fine. They are based on the ATMega2560 processors (so essentially, a fancy souped up Arduino+RAMPS).
Keep in mind that the Megatronics 3 is relatively new, though, so you might have to set some pins in Marlin by hand for now. The RUMBA is already officially supported.
