X-prize-like contest

I was just wondering if we could run a contest kinda like the xprize. I was thinking we could use the goals we have in the wiki like 2 head printing and stuff like that to try to speed up developemt of the is great machine. I was thinking like we hand out a free reprap or something like that for a prize. I am will to try to get this started if anyone is willing to help.

There's a little bootstrapping problem there: often you need a RepRap in order to develop on one. But aside from that the idea is reasonable.

The Open Source Ecology guys have a good system of getting pledges and donations in.

What are the development pathways you want to heat up a bit?

I was think of maybe 2 materials at the same time, and maybe speed up production time, something along those lines. I open up to suggestions.
