www.oshwa.org] and while the sample is about 1000 that are members or follow OSHWA and thus may be somewhat biased, the results to me are still interesting none the less. In some ways, such as participation in projects and documentation I think the sample is pretty telling as these are the people most likely to be involved in such things. The commercial side is likely under represented as those that are offshore copy shops likely aren't following OSHWA. I also think the questions regarding licensing are interesting as well with most that release projects not doing so under any specific license as well as a significant number choosing to self host designs rather than on a public or community site.
