Need Help with first RepRap configuration (Prusa I3 Rework)
August 26, 2014 10:10PM
Construction complete.
All cable connected properly, for drivers 1a,1b,2a,2b connected as states on Mega2560 Board
End Stops Connect
Motors mounted
head bead, heated extruder, resistors all connected.

12v 400w power supply connected to mega2560

Mega2560 Flashed with Marlin Firmware
extra large LCD smart controller connected, i have not changed any code if it helps.

Problems,
Blue light come on for LCD display and a whistle noise coming from it.
Light on Mega was flashing before i uploaded code onto Mega2560, Now flashing light has stopped (i think its normal)
the power supply was making the light on the Mega flash (prior to firmware upload) and stopped making the light flash (still prior to firmware upload but flashes with usb connected)

Using Repetier software, motors do not move, getting no reading from thermistors,
Non-responsive

Has anyone had this problem?

when changing code i only change this line

#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {92,80,4000,600} // default steps per unit for prusa i3 rework

should i have changed all lines in the section?
// prusa i3 settings
#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80,4000,600} // default steps per unit for prusa i3 rework
#define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {500, 500, 2, 25} // (mm/sec)
#define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {2000,2000,20,1000} // X, Y, Z, E maximum start speed for accelerated moves. E default values are good for skeinforge 40+, for older versions raise them a lot

How would i re-install firmware to Mega2560???? how do i reset it?

If i start again, what steps must i take?

-Starting with reseting arduino Mega2560
-Making sure all wires are connected,
-power is disconnected while firmware is loaded
-then what?

does anyone have the Configuration.h file for a Prusa I3 Rework?
i am using 1.8 pitch nema motor, m5 leadscrew (0.8 pitch)

or could someone suggest this from Configuration.h file from replieko?
[www.replikeo.com]

could someone show me how to modify it for use with my M5 leadscrew (0.8 pitch) and using GT2 Timing pulley

-I have not manually homed all axis
-I have not changed any setting on stepper controllers
-have not changed anything to do with microstepping
-I have edited only that one line of the marlin Configuration.h File

also how do i test if something is short circuited or blownout on the Mega2560 or Ramps1.4 board.

Under each stepper driver i have installed 3 of the bridging pins.

You mean connected to the RAMPS 2 connectors right

Post yr config.h. the first line that should have changed is the board followed by thermistor then the endstops...
Have you made the relevant changes in pins.h file.

Yes. The power is connected to the ramps 1.4

Im gonna say i have not made the right changes In the code.
I will upload soon.

disconnect the lcd till you get the firmware sorted right now focus on the pin.h set that for ramps

Ok, will unplug...

What do i need to change in the pin.h???

could you specify the changes?

scroll down to ramps section

hello

i have uncommented the following

// 3  = MEGA/RAMPS up to 1.2 = 3
33 = RAMPS 1.3 (Power outputs: Extruder, Bed, Fan)
// 34 = RAMPS 1.3 (Power outputs: Extruder0, Extruder1, Bed)
// 4  = Duemilanove w/ ATMega328P pin assignment
// 5  = Gen6

33 = RAMPS 1.3 (Power outputs: Extruder, Bed, Fan)

NOW, You want me to change

#ifndef MOTHERBOARD
#define MOTHERBOARD 33
#endif

into

//#ifndef __AVR_ATmega1280__
#ifndef __AVR_ATmega2560__
#error Oops! Make sure you have 'Arduino Mega' selected from the 'Tools -> Boards' menu.
#endif
//#endif

is this correct?

thats from the config.h file and at the end off option you get the following lines

then can you make the change in the code and i will copy and paste into code

i see your code, and you say it should look like this
#if MOTHERBOARD == 3 || MOTHERBOARD == 33 || MOTHERBOARD == 34 || MOTHERBOARD == 77
#define KNOWN_BOARD 33

//////////////////FIX THIS//////////////
//#ifndef __AVR_ATmega1280__
#ifndef __AVR_ATmega2560__
#error Oops! Make sure you have 'Arduino Mega' selected from the 'Tools -> Boards' menu.
#endif
//#endif

// uncomment one of the following lines for RAMPS v1.3 or v1.0, comment both for v1.2 or 1.1
#define RAMPS_V_1_3
// #define RAMPS_V_1_0

But sorry, i dont see where it goes.
