Airfix was made of polystyrene, I don't know what those little games workshop figurines are made of, but they take a coat of acrylic paint. Is hips paintable? Abs and play don't like paint it seems.

Also, smaller nozzles produce more detail? Sounds obvious, but I'm sure I've read here that isn't the case for a reason I can't recall.

Yes, small nozzles produce more detailed parts. They do come with downsides, though -- they severely limit print speed. I am currently switching from a 0.35mm nozzle to a 0.4mm nozzle for that exact reason.

If I get a. 25 nozzle and 32 x microstepping drivers I might actually achieve a negative speed!

Don't forget the geared extruder and Bowden tube.
