We are still having problems getting our stepper motors to work. We have had some luck adjusting the torque, but they only spin in one direction from the xyz tab in the software. We are using the TechZone electronics and Kysan NEMA 17 motors.
AFAIK, without the end-stops connected, the electronics think they are triggered, and so the motors won't go in the other direction (ie: it thinks the axis is pushed up against the end-stop, and should not travel any further).
