It is 45x45x10mm in size with a vent at the bottom from which air is expelled. I've always called them blowers, but that doesn't seem to help my shop for them :/

I'd call it a ducted fan? or blower fans

like these squril cage fans
[www.ebay.com]

or these CPU Blowers
[www.ebay.com]

or search ' CPU air Blower'

But looking at, it might be Product specific.

ie. an open style fan, enclosed in a plastic shroud.

And used for the Bulldog Lite Extruder tongue sticking out smiley
[ooznest.co.uk]

It says, '- 1 x Bulldog mount + Integrated 12V Fan' so it might be a normal fan on a custom mount.

but you can print your own mount and use any other ducted fan

If you are finding a fan mount for this extruder, you could use this

The correct name for these kind of blowers/fans is: Radial Fan.

"Correct name" is relative to the source of information. Wikipedia lists it as a centrifugal fan. If you're buying one on Digikey for instance, they are listed as a blower where a traditional "CPU fan" is a tubeaxial fan.

Alright, however, if you were to name the techniques for comparison Axial vs Radial would be more logical, hence the '-ial'.

Indeed, centrifugal fan is also a correct naming, but will yield you less usable results when looking. I got them from Ebay and they are very, very strong. The air they move is incomparable to an axial fan grinning smiley From then on I decided to just stick with radial fans for a lot of applications. However, they aren't always great, they are hard to control if you only want a little bit of air, I prefer an axial fan to cool my prints as it's more sensitive to PWM, in the way that I can control the axial fans more 'precise'.

They're quite common in laptops as they have a short profile.

I have one that came with my Bulldog Lite extruder setup and it's woefully underpowered.
