Three point bed leveling options
January 07, 2015 02:10AM
Hey everyone. I am looking at my options for three point bed leveling systems for a new printer I'm designing. My current system is too fragile and it allows for too much play in the X and Y axes instead just in the Z where it's supposed to be adjustable. It would be great if some people could help me out by posting their designs or their favorite designs. Links and/or pictures would really beneficial. Maybe a few pros and/or cons to your design, too.

Thanks so much in advance.

Hi,
I use three point bed levelling with no issue (I had a little play with my old plate, with 4 points). To avoid play in X and Y axes, you must drill the ø3 holes accurately (do not drill ø3.5 or more...), and use a column drill to be perfectly perpendicular. Using a thicker MDF plate and stronger springs can help too.
