Help with SMT files

I dnld files for a printer and they were .DX files. I figured out that was just a zipped file. Now I see .DAT files and a .SMT file.
It is a text file but I have no idea what to do with it - or the .DAT files.

I want to open it in Sketchup
Can someone give me a clue?

The only definition of SMT files I can find are samsung phone themes.

Which printer are you building and where did you get these files?

SMT is normally Surface Mount in the world of electronics. I'm guessing it is the PCB layout or similar. Perhaps the layout to etch or make a solder mask.
