The perfect Hotend

Hi Reprapper,

I buy recently a Prusa i3 with a Chinese's hotend and I want to build a new hotend by myself, but I relatively new in the 3D printing. So, my question is simple: which features are important to have for a perfect hotend according to your experience?

Thank you in advance for your help!

It largely depends on your needs. I have the Merlin, as Shrek is linking, and I must say, I'm very satisfied! My main plastic to print is PLA.

My E3D v6 is awesome. It's all-metal, so it can hit any temperature I need, and it has yet to jam. I'd like a slightly smaller nozzle, and dualstrusion / lighter weight would be nice, but what I have totally works.

I built my own Hotend. It looks like an E3D, but has some nice features. And my Nozzle design is also different.
