I have the step motor driver and the motherbpard up and operating under replicatror .0014 . The mother board has been update to the latest firmware. 3 questions.
1. Is there a way in replicator to set the number of steps per unit?
2. I have the latest plastruder mK4 board butI can't upload the latest firmware for it.
Are you suppose to update the extruder board via the usb cable attached to the mother board or are you supposed to connect the usb cable direftly to the xtruder board? On my set up neither will upload the latest firware.
3. I do have the stepper motor running but cannot get the extruder board motor to run. Can someone give me a sam,ple file that I can try? Also
I have the thermistor set wired to the therm terminals. The motor wired to A+ and A- and the heating element wired to B and B. Does the extruder board get all of its power from the RJ45 cable?

The wiki instructions for uploading firmware to an extruder board should work - USB cable to extruder board.
Also, when reporting issues, it is often more helpful to say what *did* happen when you tried something, rather than just "it didn't work". What exactly did you do when you hooked up the extruder board to your host computer via USB and ran the Arduino development IDE? Did the power LED on the extruder board light up? What error message(s) did you get when you tried to program the microcontroller?
The more (relevant) detail you can provide about what you did and what happened, the more likely it is that others will be able to help you out.

And don't forget the connector on the extruder board is upside down compared to the motherboard! Make sure you hook it up with the proper orientation.

I am using the Replicator G0014 software. I got the extruder firmware updated and it now appears that the motor and the heating element is working.
Can someone email me a sample G code file trhat runs the extruder and sets the termperature ? Dmauch@seanet.com
