E3D V6 Bowden Coupling

Hi Guys,

So I have a bit of an issue with my E3D V6. The embedded bowden coupling seems to be wearing out and one of the little arms has snapped off it and so now the tube seems to be starting to slide out every now and then.

So my question is. Is the bowden coupling standard (as in, can I get it from a local hardware store?)
Or can I tap the brass inset so that I can screw in a standard bowden coupling M5 size.

Really appreciate the feedback.

Cheers
Ryan

You might find a similar item in a local supplier of hydraulic or pneumatic equipment/spares, e.g. Pirtek in the UK.

Otherwise, I'm sure E3D will sell you one, if you can live with the delivery time.

E3D does sell them. Look under the parts section. I have looked for them else where, and could not fine anything. On-line search netted nothing. I thought maybe an LED holder might work, but the sizes are incorrect. If someone knows where to buy these in bulk I would love to know.
