make a reprap with a cnc router?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, but have been looking at making a reprap for a while - since having some parts made on a Laserlines Dimension.

I have (some)access at work to a gerber CNC router (8x4 table) and a 35w laser cutter.

I'd like to cnc my reprap parts if possible - does anybody know if there are CNC cutfiles available?

(I'd rather not laser the whole thing from acrylic).

I have had a search, but all I can find are people putting Dremels (or similar) on their machine to MAKE a cnc router.

I am also having difficulties finding photos of stuff that people have printed - I can find some early blobby stuff, but It would be good to get some kind of gallery of good high res stuff together.

My biggest concern is building a machine, to find that it prints chunky spaghetti.

While Spaghetti printing might be of use to some, I require something of a reasonably high resolution to make a different sort of machine that Ive had an idea for..

If anybody could help, I would be very grateful

Cheers!

-Sebastien, RepRap.org library gnome.

Remember, you're all RepRap developers (once you've joined the super-secret developer mailing list), and the wiki, RepRap.org, [reprap.org] is for everyone and everything! grinning smiley

Thats great Sebastien, I saw the lasercut, but I'd not seen the Isaac - very interesting. Glad you pointed that out - there is so much stuff on this site!

Which would be the best extruder at the moment, in your opinion?
