But before I give up, is there anyone Near Bridgwater in Somerset (M5 Corridor) I could call on to sort out my I3 printer if I cant fix it.

I am sometimes in South Somerset, but not due there for a few weeks.

Don't know of any
Not working anymore,
Swapped hotend and lost the ability to calibrate!
Printrun doesn't work anymore
Err:MINTEMP!
which I think means that I've broke the new thermistor already

What is your thermistor type?

MINTEMP and MAXTEMP may be triggered by open circuit (for example wires not touching well) or short circuit. And you should always have spares of everything that can be broken (i.e. of almost any component).

Please don't give up!
I have thought and said it so many times, but when you finally make it work it is a huge satisfaction. thumbs up

Sweet, the error is easy to fix the solder joint broke so need to resolder the lead.
