Hi everyone , i have a little problem with the configuration of my sunhokey prusa i3.

i tested him printing with ABS at 240º heat end and 90º heat bed this model:

and my result dont have warping , but have a little cracks that i cant stop.

can see my result in the attached files, what i can do to stop cracking ABS?.

The heatbed and extruder are calibrated.

How fast are you printing?

I had cracking when printing ABS on a completely different type of printer. The main cause was that the hot end fan was also blowing air on the nozzle. I used Kapton tape to stop that and it mostly fixed the problem. The other thing I had to do to completely eliminate the problem on taller prints was to put 2 plastic bags over the printer, to get some of the benefit of a heated enclosure.

The velocity of the print was 50mm.

the fan is where was in the tutorial , but i attach a img to show where is.

PD: when is printing the extruder make sounds like TAC TAC TAC , it seems like the extruder wants to gives too much ABS and slips , that can be the problem ?.

Thanks for the feedback smiling smiley

There's no shroud on the fan, so a lot of the air is blowing against the print. You have to stop the air blowing on the print.

The noise you hear is probably caused by the extruder motor current being set too low.
