I raise the hotend It extrudes ok calibrated. As soon as I start a print it's not extruding, the wade gear does seem very slow, all I get is some small blobs. I switched stepper pcb also increased z height still no change. I'm using marlin & repetier. any advice on what could be the cause.
Stepper current far too low? Try telling it to print but tripping the Z limit switch with a match or something so that it prints in mid air. If it now extrudes O.K. then the back pressure is stopping the extruder motor.
Hi Just tried as suggested there is still no extrusion mid air, it does extrude normally with jog controls,
I have a multimeter connected ground/pot it's 1.71mA 10.12v dc, do I need to test when it's operating
