Big glass jar for ABS-acetone?

Hi.

My topic is a bit different and forum may be wrong but here I go.

Im planning to polish ABS with acetone but Im having difficulties to find big enough glass for my print size. Size of glass item I need is 200x200x200mm, a bit bigger if possible but not much.

Is there anyone who has succeed of polishing such a large prints and where can I buy glass item of that size? I live in Europe but since markets are global any advice is welcommed.

I use a large aluminum pot I picked up at a Chinese food store.

You could use a polyethythene tub with lid, if you can find one the right size. Acetone dissolves some plastics, but not polyethylene - hence it is shipped in polyethylene bottles. I guess with glass you can watch the print though.

I picked up a small cubic aquarium for that. The silicon sealing holds up to aceton.

Hobby Lobby has a whole lot of big glass jars... just use the online coupon for a discount

How about a metal washing up bowl or something similar?

I use a rice cooker for this. You can still see through the glass lid and you don't need to use your heatbed to heat the acetone.
