Hi I have just made a Mostly printed CNC machine but would like to drive the steppers separately for the x and y axis using the unused extruder drivers.
I have the y axis working as its supported in the firmware but cannot get the x to work.
i have been working on doing the same thing you can basically copy and paste all the parts for the y axis dual extruders in the firmware and then change the y to x and you should be good .. just have to make sure you do it for everything used for the y axis dual extruders as it is in several different sections..I must say i am not sure why this is not standard in the marlin firmware ?Seems to me anyone using it for a large format machine would need this..Currently i have been just running separate stepper drivers and running two stepper drivers from thestep and dir from the x axis but is sure would be nice to do it in the firmware and just use the stepper drivers plugged into the board instead of having to do extra wiring?
