Solidworks Metadata

I don't like uploading solids files because all these file formats seem to be loaded with Metadata.(if I use mastercam to make G-code from an .stl it has the original solidworks file import data listed in the code as a comment.)

Does anyone know of a way to purging metadata from solids files? An application that works with a number of formats and lets you edit this type of thing for instance?

Alternatively: an application that can read .sldprt or .stl files which will overwrite this metadata in the process of saving them from that program?

The STL file format doesn't have room for meta data, except for the first 80 bytes. So, saving as STL with any application is pretty safe to not include your bank account numbers.
