what is the best stl plater software ? I have been using plater in repetier host but it it crashes to offen.

Ehmm... Slic3r has a plater built in, doesn't it?.. All I could imagine I could do with my plate can be done with slic3r.

+ 1 . it is like a lottary game to me to export a gcode. today i got 30 min. to finally get a stl exported to gcode. It is a nice program but the crashes are a big issue

Oh. I didn't know that. Never had a single crash on mac os.

Slic3r crashes randomly for me on both my macs. Both running latest versions of MacOS and slic3r.

Looks to me like a memory leak type issue.

You could try Cura I think. I believe Simplify3D now comes with either a 7 day free trial or a return policy, not sure which. Each application available has its own pros and cons.

If loading multiple STL's onto a platter though, have you tried exporting them as a new single STL prior to slicing? Is it possibly a bad model? Have you tried running them through NetFabb?

I have found this [github.com] but i am not having much luck getting it to run on 32 bit windows 10.
