I am just about to convert my Prusa i3 from 3mm to 1.75mm filament.
My setup is a gregs-wade direct extruder, sitting over a genuine E3Dv6. I know how to convert the hot-end, and I know that I have to drill the hole in the extruder so that I can fit the 4mm bowden.
What I need to know is whether to use the bowden clip in the top of the E3Dv6's heatsink - I imagine that it would be simpler to leave it out, but I don't know how that would affect the function.
Any clues/experiences either way would be appreciated.
