Quality/Feedback Check: polyurethane resin casts

Has anyone purchased these parts before? The manufacturing process looks interesting--he created a set of parts on his rapid prototyper and created molds, now he's creating polyurethane casts.

I am somewhat interested in this set due to the low cost, and I was wondering if anyone has used these type of parts, or could infer based on the production method, ect, what kind of quality I would get from them.

I'm hesitant to put down USD 170, and I wanted to make sure these are worth the price.

Thanks in advance.

Just search for Foton in this Forum
You will find lots of feedback on these and similar cast parts.

You will need to assemble carefully as Resin can crack under stress & strain.

I have the ones he used to do, cast in polyester. These are probably less brittle, but it looks like he's using the same masters which means the drive pulleys will still be pretty poor and the X-axis vertical nut traps will still need a lot of work.

You'll likely get a working machine from these parts, but it'll take more effort than it would with printed parts.

I've held cast parts from DesktopFab and the quality was really, really high.

(I don't have any affiliation with them, but their parts looked nice)
