Thermistor not working

I was being given very high temp readings from repetier coming from my just built 3d printer and I thought the problem was the thermistor. After a lot of checking I decided to unplug both the hot end and heated bed thermistor to see what could happen and to my surprise, Repetier still kepps giving me very high temperatures, and the values change. So I don't know whats wrong now. Any ideas?

try swapping thermistor location at the board did the printer come preloaded with firmware or user loaded could be firmware related if sensors are good

Ok so I was messing with the firmware configuration.h file and got both the hot end and the heated bed to read properly but after printing something the bed started to read the same as the hot end and now that I heat the bed nothing happens but when I heat the hot end the bed readings rise too, which means the heated bed thermistor is not working and is replacing its values for the ones of the hot end. This is making me crazy
