3d Model of Constructed Mendel

Hi folks! Is there a file or files available for the really nice 3d model that is used in the diagrams on the Mendel Wiki? I would love to have it as a reference during construction.

That was done up using solid edge, a non-free cad program.

Since then, mendel has been redrafted in openscad, and has undergone speciation; the most popular flavor is:

It's been significantly simplified and requires many fewer bearings, etc.

btw, unless someone went to the extra work, the openscad files of the various prusa parts have not been assembled in a modeling program to show the complete machine.

A few months back I put together a Mendel in Google Sketchup (Free) by importing the STL files for all the parts and then assembling it. The end result looked like this interactive image. If you have sketchup installed you can view the full file by downloading it from this link.

Its not perfect but it gives a good idea of how it all fits together. Hope that helps.

If you download the Mendel files from [sourceforge.net] there are STEP and IGES models of the assembled Mendel in the zip.
