Custom making a CoreXY machine.. My rumba cant really push this thing faster then 150mm/s
not sure what would be a good value to start with for Acceleration and Jerk.
Ive read many threads about this but it seems just trial and error.. is there a way to calculate a proper value?

For acceleration you'd start from the torque specification of the motor, calculate the mechanical advantage to find the applied force, weigh the moving parts and use F=MA to calculate the max acceleration, then derate by a safety factor. But trial and error will be a lot quicker and easier. No idea how you would estimate a reasonable jerk value.

What motors and drivers are you using?
