I'd say prusa i3 mk2. Ready built.
Lots of bang for the buck.
Huge support forum etc.

Then I think it's a big step moneywise to the next level.

$1000 and under gets into the kit area and little support.

I agree for the price the true MK2 is a solid machine. Taz printers are also nice but a bit more money.

To me, the CTC is un known. Really, really cheap.
But it has a small build volume.

Id pay more for a ready to go prusa.
You can order direct from prusa. I think its just plug in and play. With the already built one.
It has a slicer program with ready made settings etc in the slicer.
I think you just can go to prusas own forum and ask any question.
There is many reviews on the prusa on youtube.

sounds like I'm a seller. But not. I do not own a prusa. But if I would buy one today. It would be that one.
But personally. Id order the kit. because I think its fund to build stuff.

I have a Anet A8. I can't recommend it. My starts to print well now. But I have replaced alot of things.
Rods. hotend. bearings. belts..pretty much all of it. But it has been a good learning experience.
But with the prusa. One don't have to buy everything one mor time in parts..

I think its the same risk with the CTC. the components is of bad quality. Probably.

It looks like with the original pursa it's a go... Already calibrated and everything for some one to just download a file load filement and click print

Agree.
If one just want to "press play" and start 3D printing.
I think its the most Bang for the money.

Our work has purchased four Anet A8 printers.

The will probably arrive in a month or so.

How do they compare with regards to the Prusa i3 Mk2?
